How it All Began

A few years ago, when Tom & Sara Joyner decided to buy their first move-up home, the only choices in their budget were older, used homes (most of them with wallpaper and pet-stained carpet), or big, boxy and blah tract homes. They wanted something that didn’t require a renovation, yet was original, in-style, and updated with today’s finishes. What did they find? Nada. Nothing. Zilch. They believed that a home could be built that had character, quality and was reasonably priced. This was the start of the concept behind Joyner Homes.

Today, Joyner Homes focuses on building homes that have character like the homes of yesterday (think Craftsman-style), but all of the doors latch, they don’t leak heat like a sieve, the windows don’t need painted, and they have cool, modern features like air conditioning. Their homes are filled with Character Rich features, such as exposed wood beams, stone fireplaces, custom built-ins, nooks and other cozy spaces. Each home built by Joyner Homes also incorporates Smart Designs through efficient space planning, modern technology, energy efficiency and livability at a reasonable price.
