A Copenhaver Homes Community
Where community and history live in harmony.
Imagine your new custom home in an exclusive, limited lot community that is rich with a piece of Greenwood's forgotten history. Lyons Park is named for the Lyons family that settled in Pleasant Township in 1825. Robert Lyons, a soldier of the War of 1812, had settled here with his wife, Jane VanArsdall Lyons, and family. He set up the first saw and grist mills in the county, and also operated a tannery. There is a long line of Lyons’ descendants, some of which still reside in Greenwood over 200 years later. This community will honor these first settlers of this area by highlighting their final resting place near the back of this community, featuring beautifully designed and landscaped grounds with a walking path around the Lyons Cemetery. This will give the neighborhood a quiet area to enjoy the great outdoors while remembering those who first settled here and began the path of what the city of Greenwood would later become. Greenwood has grown quite a bit since the Lyons family first settled here, and at Lyons Park, you’ll be near all the shopping, dining, entertainment, and everything else that today’s Greenwood has to offer. Welcome to Lyons Park.
